Ranger Trail

Become a Frutt Ranger and discover the natural world around Melchsee-Frutt in a very special way. The Ranger Trail is an interactive puzzle trail that combines learning, exercise and adventure – ideal for families, children and curious explorers.

Along the trail, you’ll learn fascinating facts about flora, fauna and how to treat nature with respect. A reward awaits you at the end: your very own Ranger certificate.

What to expect on the Ranger Trail

  • Interactive puzzle trail without a guide
  • Duration: approx. 2 hours
  • Route: approx. 2 km
  • Digital and analogue tasks on site
  • Playful learning about nature and the environment
  • Personal ‘Frutt Ranger’ certificate upon completion

Participation

  • We recommend 1–5 participants per smartphone.
  • Children under 12 are advised to be accompanied by an adult.

  • Cost: CHF 25.00 per trail | one-off charge per smartphone

How the Ranger Trail works

Find the starting point
At the old mountain station, near the ski school office and the Bällälibad, you’ll find a large Ranger figure and a Ranger poster.

Buy the trail

  • On the spot via QR code and credit card
  • Or in cash at the Tutti Frutt Lädäli in the village

Get started
Once you’ve purchased the trail, a web application will open in your smartphone’s browser.
No need to install an app.

Solve the puzzles & move on
Each task contains a puzzle. The correct solution unlocks the next station.

Good to know: The content is downloaded at the start – no internet connection is required during the trail.

Using the web application

At the bottom of the screen you will find:

  • Arrows to switch between tasks
  • A progress bar showing how far you’ve got
  • A question mark for help

Only when the right-hand arrow turns green has the puzzle been solved correctly and can you move on to the next task.

FAQ

No problem – hints are available for many of the puzzles. Simply tap the green question mark to bring up a hint.

If you need to leave the trail early: after purchase, you’ll receive a personalised link by email that you can use to rejoin the game at any time.
